Meet Kristen & Katie
Owners of The Cormorant, NBPT
We both agree, there’s nothing like a friendly neighborhood haunt. A place to call home…away from home. A familiar face behind the counter. A spot that, simply, hits the spot. Our vision is for The Cormorant to be that spot.
Growing up in Massachusetts (Kristen) and New Jersey (Katie), with Italian-American families whose love language revolves around food and entertaining, it was only natural that we both found our calling in the restaurant industry. Collectively, we’ve worked in just about every food service capacity — from waitstaff to management, recipe development to food journalism, cafés to catering — we’ve established a broad and detailed view of the food service industry.
Now, we team up to bring you The Cormorant, where we strive to create the best possible food & service experience for all our patrons. The menu reflects our relationship — a nod to our childhoods, the pizza parlors, and the diners that we grew up with. And while Kristen says “subs” and Katie says “hoagies”, we both know our way around a sandwich. We invite you to come on in, grab a seat, and enjoy.

We want to take the unknown out of hospitality work, so no tipping is expected at The Cormorant.
All staff are compensated with livable wages, reliable scheduling, and paid time off. We believe these financial incentives, along with progressive training, help to create a more resilient and sustainable food service experience that benefits everyone.
